I love this desk - it gives my office a bright and airy feeling. The color of the desktop is a light natural wood (like an unstained pine). It is also sturdy, and does seem to be anti-scratch. The only downsides were 1) the tabs on the legs that you put the screw through to fasten into the frame were bent - I had to hammer them to get them to bend flat. That didn't end up being a big deal to me. Also, the supports that extend from the legs that support the desktop don't reach all the way to the desk and there are no holes in the underneath part of the desk to screw them into anyway - you'd need to drill that part. (See the picture). The frame provides plenty of support, so I'm not sure that these side supports are necessary unless you plan to sit on the desk. For me, these problems were minor, I'm using the desk right now and love it. Given the price, I'm happy.
