This desk is very well made and sturdy desk and is functional as shown. I needed a desk smaller than 36" wide to go into the space available. The installation of the desk took my grandson and I over two hours to try to get it together. The directions are done with pictures and the pieces are not labeled to tell you which is which. We got to the printer table and we were not able to get the screws in to the back of the table; we didn't have a short enough screwdriver to screw them in. Also, no where in the directions did it state that you needed a screwdriver. It has a variety of holes where you can place the shelves and you need a tape measure to know which holes to use. My printer is 12" high and I had to allow for its height as well as 1" to allow for me to pull the drawer out. FOR EVERYONE'S INFORMATION, THE PRINTER SHELF IS 19 3/4" WIDE FROM EACH SIDE OF THE METAL SLIDE AND ONLY 14" DEEP. Nowhere are the dimensions of this shelf noted. I will need to call a carpenter to come to complete the installation of the printer shelf. The manufacturer needs to revise the directions to include labels on each piece, as well as labeling which section of screws to use first, second, third and fourth. Luckily, I am confident in my ability in putting boxed items together and was able to figure out which pieces they were showing pictures of.After searching around, I found this desk and thought I was "settling" since I couldn't find the same desk I was currently using. When this was put together and set up, I couldn't have been more excited!! Looks sleek and classy, not clunky. I’m so glad I “settled” for this desk. The wood tone is consistent throughout and the black accents make it look like a nice piece of furniture! It is a bit difficult to do the height adjustment, since you have to move everything off the desk before raising or lowering, its definitely a 2 person job because of the quality of the wood. Before you start putting anything on the desk, try and try again to make sure its at the level you want it to be and stick to it!product arrived in good shape except for the top panel (#1921-01) which was chipped on the corner. Do not want to return the entire desk but need a replacement of the top panel.I have had this desk for about a month now and love it. I was looking for a desk that has the keyboard on a lower level than the monitor and this desk is perfect. It's very sturdy. Other people may be faster, but it took me about an hour to put it together because I kept double checking myself, but I made no mistakes. The directions are all diagrams which helps assemble it. I would recommend this to anyone who is looking for a compact desk that is highly functional.Only one problem, the pre drilled keyboard shelf screw holes do not line up, causing the shelf to bind up when trying to close. Remedy, install screws BUT do not tighten flush. Poor quality control.Short keyboard tray didn’t fit on rail, broken rail & broken edge on top board, poor quality & packaging.
