If tou are looking for a fun weekly organizer you've come to the right place. This is my first Mom's planner and I wasn't disappointed. I bought it so that I could keep track of my life, my husband and my church activites. A month at a glance and a page marker might have been helpful. I added a very fancy beaded page marker so I could find what week I am missing. The bright yellow cover keeps me from losing the planner. I've had it over a month and still know where it is! There are much better business planners available, but honestly they aren't fun. I wanted something that would make me smile when I opened it. I needed something that could include several activites in one day (mostly Sunday). I also don't need to see the whole month in one shot. And to be fair, I did buy it for the picture too, I've been a fan of the Boynton cartoons since ... well, I don't want to say. It will give away our ages.I love this little weekly calendar. It has a nice quality cute plastic outside and inner glossy pages. We bought it to help the little ones understand the concept of a week. It's fun and easy to read and write in since it lays flat when opened. They gave a few weekly tasks bookmarks you can use to mark the current week but I should have just tried a small pretty ribbon to the top to mark it more easily.Sure the pages have a lot of the 'silly' Boyton pics and if you're looking for something ultra small and no nonsense them you may want to keep looking. But this calendar is easy for us to find and general fun to look at as we look forward to what we have to do each week.I've been buying this planner for years. I love it, but I'll state the cons first. The pages are slick and pencil is hard to erase. Also, did you use this planner every year, you have 5 wasted months' worth of calendar. A d, theres no monthly calendar in it and no strap tp keep it closed or separate the pages. . I love it, though. Sandra Boynton's pictures make my day. I love the stickers and I actually use the removable shopping lists. They Crack me up. I like keeping the things that pertain only to me separate. Don't buy it if you have a lot of kids. There's not enough room! It's bright and happy. I read the negative reviews. If you're not a Mom, don't buy it. If you don't like loud and happy in a calendar, don't buy it.This is the planner I've been searching for! I never liked the planners that had weekly and monthly pages. It just made me write everything twice in two different places. Finally! A planner that gives plenty of space for filling in appointments, meetings, and gives separate areas for mom and family. I also love the tear-out lists in the back. My kids enjoy looking at the full color illustrations of funny animals doing silly things. The only thing I would like better is more stickers of the same subject. Usually kids have more than 5 music lessons in a year and a half or more than 6 birthdays. But it's such a small thing I can live without the stickers for all the ways this planner meets my needs. I'll be looking for it again when this one is finished. This is the desk planner I buy, year after year. My kids are grown and out of the house, but I have always loved Boynton. It is a 16 month calendar, so it's great for keeping track of an entire school year in one calendar. The pages are just the right size for me to write down all the appointments or other tasks for the day, and I can see everything a week at a time. The facing page has the clever Boynton animals in all their silliness. It really is geared more for moms with kids still in school - it comes with loads of stickers for birthdays, holidays, and school events other fun stuff, and it also has tear-out pages for shopping lists and such. Really a great value.I absolutely love this planner. In fact, I'm already looking forward to the 2016/2017 version. I have had a hard time keeping track of the appointments and birthdays and school stuff and days off from school for the kids (I have 2) and I. This has made it easier. My suggestion would be to use either ball point pens or find permanent markers as the pages are glossy and gel ink doesn't dry quickly. There are stickers in the front for everything from birthdays to recitals to vacations. There are removable perforated lists in the back for "Things I Must Do Immediately" and "Vital Necessities". Both front and back covers have pockets. I don't know how I made it this far without one of these (or something similar).Based on the rave reviews here on Amazon I was expecting this to meet all my needs. Instead, I'm very disappointed. My main problem is that there is not a monthly grid calendar to be found! I assumed that before each month would be a month at a glance, and there is not. At the very front is a small year at a glance for 2015-2017, and then each page has a small horizontal section for each day. At the bottom corner there is a small glance calendar of the previous, current and future month, but nothing to write on. Is it just me or is that a huge issue?!My next complaint is the cutesy drawings which overtake the planner. One FULL page of a two page spread is a comic. (See the photo I posted of a particularly busy week in December being largely obscured by annoying and unnecessary graphic) Then the other page is planner. I would've preferred to have a small drawing or comic mixed in with more room for my daily planning. Honestly, I would've preferred for it to be much less cheesy overall. I read the review from another mom who suggested that the cover was way too bright but that it made it easier to find in her purse & that the benefits outweighed that. I would have to disagree.Lastly, there is no elastic band (or any method) to keep the planner closed. So you can put coupons and receipts in the pockets (which are folder style) but there's nothing to keep them from falling out. I have added my own paper clip to the top to keep the page open to the current week, but that doesn't change the fact that anything you put in the pockets will fall out of the planner if it is dropped.I just don't get the rave reviews as this isn't solving almost any of my needs. This was brought as a gift for Christmas for my daughter in law who has two young daughters. She had expressed an interest in something of this sort when I had brought one for my daughter last year. She was over the moon when she open it on Christmas day and said it will help her keep track of all the various appointments that my granddaughters have. Not for UK ... Bought this last year and it was UK specific, but this versions isn't. Will return :(Love these planners. Bright & Cheery. Plenty of space to write in & good quality pages - don't like to see last wks events on next weeks pages!Brilliant bought one every year for last 4 years! The only diary for a busy working mum love it
