Good solid bamboo. Only downside is the drawer can be sticky and difficult. The adjustable legs are a bit flimsyIt's perfect for my needs, not expensive, useful and really comfortable using my computer for hours... I recommend it.First, the customer service is excellent. First order had some rough edges, Replacement sent right away, and the entire lap desk is smooth. It's versatile and adaptive to so many types of people. We use it as a reading desk a writing desk, lap tray for meals. Really good for when one would like to get away for some relaxing creativity.Buy 2 - just the one seems to disappear,I love this tray table. I use this as a craft table for my painting with diamonds. The easel is adjustable saving my neck and back from pain. It is thin enough that I can place my light pad underneath and not be uncomfortable. The only reason that I did not give it 5 stars is because the edge of the table near the drawer was cracked. Now I do not know if this is a flaw in the design or a shipping problem, it's just annoying that something I paid a good amount for was damaged when I received it.It's sometimes hard to open and set up and there was some pieces of wood that came off and almost got stuck in my fingers but it is a very good product.I bought this for my mother-in law to use in her recliner to do her puzzle books and other busy work to occupy her dementia ridden mind. She uses it when I give her snacks too. The thing is...I use it when she is not. It is perfect to put my lap top on while I sit on the couch. I also use it when writing in my journal and sorting al the doctors papers I have for her. it is attractive and sturdy. Also it is adjustable!!Really convenient. Helps with the laptop's thermals too; way better than sitting on the pillow. Really enjoy this.Everything is accurate according to the description. It has to be tightened to ensure it's sturdiness, but it will hold plenty of weight. Not much at all will fit in the drawer, which is the only issue I have.splintery and awkward to fold. legs don’t stay out and is quite unstable.Quality seems to be good however it was just received today. Seems handy and fairly easy to adjust.
